In this section, you will enter information about your referees.
The University of Toronto will invite your referees to submit an electronic reference via email using the information provided below. It is highly recommended that you
contact your referees before you supply their information, confirm that they are available to act as a reference, and confirm their institution/organization email address. Email addresses from Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail, or any other anonymous email service provider are not allowed.
If you cannot provide an institution/organization email address for a referee, leave both the email and confirmation box blank.
You will be required to request your reference directly. Your referee must enclose the letter of reference in a sealed envelope with their signature across the seal. It is your responsibility to forward the reference letter to the graduate unit by the deadline posted. Some graduate units provide specific templates for references; please check the graduate unit's website for additional instructions.
Monitor your application on a regular basis to ensure your reference has been received by the University of Toronto. You can check the status of all documents as part of this application. If your referee has not uploaded a reference within a reasonable amount of time, please contact him/her directly. All parts of your application must be received in order for it to be reviewed.
