The following are the accommodation options available to the students

Dormitory:
Dobie Center is the dormitory where most TIEP students would likely stay. Information about and pictures of about the dormitory can be found at the dormitory’s website (
Student housing for University of Texas at Austin -- Dobie CenterWelcome). Cost* in double occupancy, including meals, would be approximately $35.00*per day. The full pricing schedule is listed on their website

They would have available suites for the males (two bedrooms with living area, limited food preparation facilities in the suites – no oven or stove, but there is a small refrigerator). It would be possible for 4 males to be in the one suite, two sharing each of the bedrooms. If preferred, however, each student could have his own bedroom.

For the female, the dorm should be able to accommodate either a single bedroom in a two-bedroom suite or just a single room by itself (again with limited food preparation facilities).

The dormitory does have a cafeteria and semester meal plans can be purchased.

You need to confirm your rooming preference (shared bedrooms or individual bedrooms). And if you wish to share with someone please provide me with their full name (according to passport), so I can make the booking accordingly.*

Apartments:

There is a wide variety and* price-range for apartments in Austin. Homestay:

If the preference is for homestays (living with a local US family), we have to contact a separate homestay family company. Prices will vary, but will be cheaper than apartments.

Kindly confirm your preference and choice, and if you have any restrictions (I.E are you allergic to any medications, animals etc or require any specific accommodation requests to be met), please let me know. I have already informed the institute about Halal food being required.
