Instead, you must arrange for the testing agency to send your test results directly to RIT's Office of Graduate Enrollment Services.Check the admission requirements page to determine which admission test, if any, is required by the program to which you seek admission.Required tests may include:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The TOEFL is required of all applicants whose native language is not English. The minimum TOEFL score required for admission to RIT ranges from 550 - 660 (213 - 250 for computer based) and varies by academic program.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
In place of the TOEFL, applicants whose native language is not English may elect to take the IELTS exam. IELTS is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. The minimum requirements for admission range from 7.0 to 8.5 and vary by academic program.
