الهدف من الدورة التدريبية هو
التعرف على كيفية توظيف الفلسفة والنظريات في البحث
كيف يساعد فهم الفلسفة (واستخدام الاطار النظري) على فهم التالي :
1- التدريس والتعلم كنشاط متكامل
2- عملية البحث كتطبيق وعلاقتها بالنظريات
3- الحكم على مواقف عدم التأكد في بعض مواطن البحث
4- تفسير النص : القراءة والكتابة في البحوث
5- القلق بشأن الحقيقة كهدف عام للباحث
6- رحلة الباحث الشخصية في البحث

Philosophy and the role of Theory in Educational Research
This session will present a holistic way of thinking about educational research that examines some of the issues faced by all educational researchers, issues that set the contexts of inquiry beyond the use of particular investigative techniques (methods).
Included in this presentation / debate will be a consideration of how philosophy and ‘theory’ can help us to understand ……
Teaching and learning as mindful activities
Research as a practice and its relationship to theory
Making judgments in the uncertain situations of research
Inquiry as scripting (writing and reading research)
Concerns with ‘truth’ as a goal of research
The researcher’s own personal (biographical) journey.
The presenter is Ian Bryant who has recently retired from a career in post-secondary educational research and teaching in North America and the U.K, and is currently Visiting Fellow, School of Education, University of Southampton. His main interests are in reflective practice for continuing professional education, education and the life course, and the philosophy of mind.
