Before a US Citizenship and Immigration Service Form I-20 can be issued and before formal admission will be granted, you will need to provide the following information:
Proof of English Proficiency. This can be fulfilled by submitting the required TOEFL (80) or IELTS (6.0) scores. Completion of an ELS program at level 112 is also acceptable.
“Financial Guarantee” letter sent from the Saudi Arabia Cultural Mission to our office if you will be receiving a scholarship.
Transfer advisor’s report. Please see the attached. This will need to please be completed by both you and your international advisor when your English program is completed and you are ready to transfer to the University of Wyoming.
For future information, as part of Homeland Security in the United States, each entering student is required to present travel documents and Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) I-20 to an inspector at the Port of Entry upon arrival. At this time, a photo and fingerprints of each index finger will also be taken. That process shouldn’t take more than a few minutes unless the inspector has specific questions. In addition, SEVIS requires that each student report to International Student and Scholars office, Cheney International Center, Suite 5 upon arrival so that we can verify your “physical presence” at UW. Failure to do this can result in loss of their student immigration status. Additional information about this and other immigration issues will be discussed at the mandatory international student orientation that UW holds prior to the beginning of each semester.
