If you will be requesting support for the F-1 student visa, we require the following documents in order to create the Form I-20:
1. A copy of the information page of the passport
2. Sponsor Financial Statement Form
3. An ORIGINAL Bank Statement or Letter from the Bank, showing an available balance for the amount required at least one year of study. See more information about requirements in terms of Tuition and Fees
for your program of interest.
a.The bank statement/letter MUST be original, received in the post to the address below. No faxed, scanned/emailed or photocopied versions are accepted.
b.The bank statement/letter MUST be no more than six months old from the issue date of the Form I-20.
c.The bank statement/letter MUST be in English.
d.The bank statement/letter MUST include an AMOUNT in currency (NOT a letter which only states “sufficient funds from the bank”).
e.The bank statement/letter MUST include bank contact information.
4. F-1 STUDENTS IN U.S. HIGH SCHOOLS AND TRANSFER STUDENTS
: If you are transferring your SEVIS Record (Form I-20) from an institution within the United States (you are already in F-1 student status), you are required submit the SEVIS Record Transfer Form
