It is possible to get a copyright notice on any tracker. None are 100% safe. You are participating in an activity that is most likely illegal in your area and we cannot guarantee any torrent to not be tracked. There are some precautions that you can take as far as using peerblock, logging in through a VPN or downloading to a seedbox but even these are not 100% safe. There is nothing that we can do about the letter you received but I do recommend that you do a little research on your own to learn how to protect yourself or just stop downloading copyrighted material if it is illegal where you live.
Peer Block
PeerBlock lets you control who your computer "talks to"on the Internet. By selecting appropriate lists of "known bad"computers, you can block communication with advertising or spyware oriented servers, computers monitoring your p2p activities, computers which have been "hacked", even entire countries! They can't get in to your computer, and your computer won't try to send them anything either. MAKE SURE to allow http (or is it enable http. I forget which) You will see it in the settings.
Or you can go to
http://tbg.iblocklist.com/ and use that alternative (tho you have to manually update that)
Also, do you use utorrent? You can go to options/ preferences, then to "bit torrent" in the left column, down the bottom is stuff about encryption. Make it forced/ enabled. That way ONLY encrypted data is sent http://www.torrentday.com/pic/smilies/tongue.gif
Make sure "incoming legacy connections" is UNTICKED... not checkmarked etc. That way you will only receive encrypted data aswell http://www.torrentday.com/pic/smilies/tongue.gif
Thanks,
